The current facility is at its maximum
capacity, the overflow for Juma prayers
during Ramadan will pray in the
masjid parking lot and two shifts for
future Juma prayers are being planned,
inshaAllah.
To accommodate the current and
future greater Boise Islamic community
ICB is in the process of purchasing
land, land that will allow ICB to
build a masjid that will be the largest
in the state of Idaho, insha Allah, and
one that is large enough to hold ICB´s
growing Muslim community. But as a
predominately immigrant community
ICB needs help raising the funds, and
your donation will help turn what is
now a dream into reality.
ICB at Juma
Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly
loan, then (Allah) will increase it manifold
to his credit (in repaying), and he will have
(besides) a good reward.
Al Hadid (Surah 57) Verse 11

History and Current Situation
Activities and Services
In 1955 the first Muslim arrived in
Boise Idaho. By 1982 15-20 people
were regularly attending Juma prayers
and today, by the grace of Allah, some
200+ attend Juma prayers at the
Islamic Center. During Eid services
over 500 people attend services and
the celebration is typically held at a
rented facility due to the lack of space
at the masjid.
Approximately 95% of Muslims in
the greater Boise area are immigrants.
Various waves of immigrants from
countries such as Afghanistan, Somalia,
Bosnia, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan,
Bangladesh and the former Soviet
Union have made Boise their home
in recent years. The Agency for New
Americans and the International Rescue
Committee estimate that another
2000 Muslim immigrants will arrive in
the greater Boise area in the next few
years.
